"Joanne's Dream" 1954 Oldsmobile Super 88

This highly styled Dream Car began life as a 1954 Oldsmobile Super 88 Holiday Coupe (54-3637D). It was used as a daily driver until 1960-1961 when Tom & Joanne Archer began building a truly unique one-off radical custom show car. Marquis Auto Restorations has been researching this vehicle worldwide and we thank those that have sent us photos and documentation regarding this lost piece of Custom Show Car history.

The processes including historical research, acquisition, and restoration were digitally documented in high definition for the TV Series "Car Czar" for The National Geographic Channel.

The extensive restoration of this one-off radical custom made international news and has been shown at custom hot rod events such as the Chicago World of Wheels where it won many top awards including Top Twenty (out of more than 400 vehicles), Most Radical Custom, and the prestigious George Barris D'Elegance Award (given to one vehicle at the World of Wheels Event). One of the greatest parts of the story is that Marquis was able to bring this vehicle back to life and find the original owner almost 50 years later. They were also able to meet and speak with the photographer that toured many major events in the early 1960's where "Joanne's Dream" won award after award including the Indianapolis Big Show.

A very important piece of Hot Rod and Custom Car history brought back to life once again after 50 years. Ready to compete against the other survivors that once tour up the streets in the 1960's and 1970's.
